The ninth-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team (13-1 overall, 5-0 Big Ten) swept Purdue in front of 4,863 fans at the UW Field House on Friday night. The Badgers remain undefeated in the Big Ten Conference after beating the Boilermakers 30-25, 30-23 and 30-19.
Sophomore Brittney Dolgner led all hitters with 20 kills on the night and accounted for 22 of Wisconsin’s points. Senior Taylor Reineke added 10 kills and five blocks in the match. Her total moved her into a tie for fourth UW’s list of career blocking leaders. Reineke helped the Badgers outblock the Boilermakers 11-4.
Wisconsin takes on Indiana in the second match of its Big Ten home opener weekend series, Saturday at 7 p.m. in the UW Field House.
