The U.S. House has given MVP quarterback Brett Favre a pat on the back.
The House passed a resolution Tuesday honoring the Green Bay Packers quarterback for setting the NFL record for career touchdown passes and for his charity work.
The resolution has 68 House co-sponsors, including the Wisconsin delegation of five Democrats and three Republicans. The four House members from Favre's home state of Mississippi are also among the sponsors.
The honor for Favre, who turns 38 Wednesday, comes just before the Packers-Washington Redskins game in Green Bay.
It's not the first time Congress has honored Favre. The Senate passed a resolution in January 1996 honoring the quarterback for winning the NFL's most valuable player of the year.
