GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Brett Favre says he thinks the NFL should give suspended wide receiver Koren Robinson another chance now that he's petitioned for reinstatement. Favre tells reporters he spoke with Robinson earlier this week and came away believing that Robinson is serious about cleaning up his act. Favre says it's time to set a good example by showing someone can resurrect not only a career but a life.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Not many people expected the Green Bay Packers to be 4-1 heading into Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. But despite the surprising success, Packers coach Mike McCarthy says his team has been sloppy and he's told the players they have to correct it. The Packers turned the ball over five times and committed 12 penalties in their 27-20 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday night.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Yi Jianlian's second exhibition game was a lot different from his first. The rookie forward from China scored 12 points and committed just four fouls to help the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Utah Jazz 90-81 in Salt Lake City last night.
Jianlian came off the bench in the second quarter and went 4-for-11 from the field, including 1-for-2 from 3-point range, for the Bucks.
