The Green Bay Packers can't look to new personnel to help their ailing running game. So, the coaching staff will do some self-scouting during the off time to try to find the answer with the offensive line and running backs at hand.
The Packers' running game ranks last in the NFL in rushing yards and 29th in yards per rush.
Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin says they'll look at their run game a lot of different ways. They'll take a look at some good runs and see if other personnel groups can use them. He says they'll study the negative runs for common patterns and see if there are certain techniques that need changing.
The players have workouts and meetings today, but don't have to be back in Green Bay until Sunday, with the next practice Monday and the next game the Monday after that, October 29th at Denver.
