Wednesday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Cornerback Charles Woodson had a history of injury trouble when he hit the free agent market last year. He says only one team, the Green Bay Packers, showed interest in hiring him. He wound up signing a seven-year, $52 million contract before last season, and it's paid off for both Woodson and the Packers. He's started in all 22 games since joining Green Bay, including last Sunday when he scored the winning touchdown on a fumble recovery.

UNDATED (AP) -- Former Wisconsin star receiver Chris Chambers isn't hiding his happiness about being traded from the winless Miami Dolphins to the defending champions of the AFC's West Division, the San Diego Chargers. Another former Wisconsin star also was traded when Tampa Bay acquired running back Michael Bennett from the Kansas City Chiefs.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Allen Iverson scored 22 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 104-78 exhibition victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at Green Bay's Resch Center last night. Carmelo Anthony added 16 points for the Nuggets, who never trailed. Charlie Bell led the Bucks with 17 points, all in the first half.
