The Number 33 uniform worn by Wisconsin running back Ron Dayne will be officially retired on November 10th.
Dayne is expected to attend the ceremony during the game against Michigan because his Houston Texans have a bye that week.
No one has worn the number since Dayne left following the 1999 season and his name and number were unveiled on the facade of Camp Randall Stadium that season.
Dayne broke the NCAA rushing mark, but the school says his number had never been officially retired.
Including bowl games, Dayne rushed for 7,125 yards and 71 touchdowns.
He won the 1999 Heisman Trophy and won the MVP of the Badgers' Rose Bowl victories in 1999 and 2000.
