Thursday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee Bucks Andrew Bogut could be sidelined for a while with an injury to his left wrist. The 7-foot center suffered the injury in an exhibition loss in Denver Tuesday night. It's been described as a sprain. Bogut had an MRI exam yesterday, after the team practiced in Chicago. He didn't practice with the team but did some conditioning work and shot some free throws. General manager Larry Harris says he expects to get the MRI results today. He says X-rays of the injury were negative.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- There's a new emphasis on takeaways when the Green Bay Packers practice, and it only reflects the importance of taking advantages of turnovers. The coaches say statistics show that in the last five years, an NFL team that scores a defensive touchdown has won the game 82 percent of the time. The new emphasis is credited with helping the Packers to their 5-1 start this season.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (AP) -- Derek Eoff of Milwaukee overcame a slow start to take a 14-pin lead after two rounds of qualifying for the 58th United States Bowling Congress Masters. Eoff rebounded from a 172 in his first game to shoot 1,124 for the five-game block. He rolled a 300 in Game 4, the fourth perfect game of the tournament. Finals are Sunday at Miller Park.
