Alycia Matthews netted the game-winning goal and added a pair of assists as Wisconsin beat Minnesota State-Mankato, 4-2. Badger freshman Hilary Knight added two points and is now tied for the national points lead with 13.
UW is now 3-1-1 in conference and 7-1-1 overall. The two teams will meet again Saturday at the Kohl Center. The puck drops at 4:00 p.m.
