Monday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Packers were worried about stopping Minnesota rookie sensation Adrian Peterson. Mission accomplished. Green Bay roughed up Peterson in a 34-0 rout of the Vikings yesterday. The running back finished with eleven carries for 45 yards, plus three catches for 14 yards. He also injured his right knee.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Brett Favre joined Dan Marino yesterday as the only quarterbacks to throw for 60,000 yards in a career. That's more than 34 miles. He reached the milestone during the second quarter of Green Bay's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Marino's all-time mark is 61,361 yards.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- The Bucks swept San Antonio last year. Yesterday the Spurs seemed intent on getting some revenge. Manu Ginobili scored 21 points as the Spurs routed Milwaukee 113-88. Michael Finley added 17 points and Tim Duncan had 16 points for the Spurs. Mo Williams scored 17 points for the Bucks and Michael Redd had 14 points.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Trevon Hughes scored 25 points and Brian Butch added 24 as Wisconsin beat Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne 83-55 yesterday. Hughes scored 14 of his points during a 16-2 Wisconsin run in the first half. Ben Botts led IPFW with 14 points, while Jaraun Burrows added 12.
