MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Kimberly's first trip to a state title game was a smashing success today, thanks to senior running back Michael Sewall, who ran for 182 yards and scored two touchdowns -- just in the first half.
Sewall slowed down after halftime, but Kimberly's defense kept DeForest from mounting a comeback in a 20-7 victory for the Division 2 championship of the state high school football playoffs.
Kimberly finished the season undefeated in 14 games.
