Wednesday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

CLEVELAND (AP) -- The road jinx is over for the Milwaukee Bucks. With Michael Redd scoring 34 points, the Bucks beat the Cavaliers in Cleveland 111-107 last night. It's their first road win this season. It also snapped an eight-game losing streak when playing in Cleveland. Redd matched the point total of Cleveland star LeBron James as the Bucks held off the Cavaliers in the closing minutes to win.

LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) -- The Marquette men's basketball team turned things around and now goes for the championship tonight against 13th-ranked Duke at the EA Sports Maui Invitational tournament in Hawaii. Jerel McNeal had 20 points and Dominic James added 18 to lead the 11th-ranked Golden Eagles in a 91-61 semifinal victory over Oklahoma State last night. They struggled the night before beating Chaminade, the Division Two school hosting the tournament.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Catcher Johnny Estrada is headed for the New York Mets in a trade for reliever Guillermo Mota. The 31-year-old Estrada batted .278 with 10 homers and 54 RBIs for the Brewers this year. He can become a free agent after the 2008 season. He had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee October 4th. The 34-year-old Mota was 2-2 with a 5.76 ERA in 52 relief appearances this season.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- It seems it's never too soon to start raising the issue of whether Brett Favre will return for another season with the Green Bay Packers. Now that the Packers are winning again, conventional wisdom says Favre is a lock to once again put off retirement and return next season. Favre hasn't said that himself, but in a conference call with Detroit reporters yesterday, Favre hinted that the Packers' successful season makes him more likely to return next year.
