Thursday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Brett Favre is expected to take part in a more vigorous practice today than he did yesterday. Favre didn't do too much more than handoff and throw a few short passes on Wednesday. Favre has not put his bruised elbow, tingling throwing hand and tender shoulder to the test. But he says he still expects to start against Oakland on Sunday. That would be the 250th consecutive start of his career.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Bucks are back in the losing column. A day after snapping a five-game losing streak, Milwaukee stood no chance against the Golden State Warriors. Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson scored 20 points apiece in a 120-90 victory late last night. Michael Redd scored 24 points to lead the Bucks, who have now lost six of seven.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers began rebuilding their shaky bullpen by signing a three-year deal with reliever David Riske. The three-year contract with an option for a fourth guarantees the right-hander 13 million dollars and incentives could make the 31-year-old Riske's contract worth as much as 20 million.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers defensive tackle Johnny Jolly may miss the rest of the season. That's after coach Mike McCarthy said an MRI test on his injured shoulder "didn't look good." Jolly was a sixth-round draft pick last season. He started seven of the Packers' first 10 games at right defensive tackle before hurting his shoulder against the Panthers.
