Tuesday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- He struggled in Boston, but now the Milwaukee Brewers are giving Eric Gagne another chance to be a closer. They finalized a one-year contract with him that's reported to be worth $10 million, plus $1 million in possible performance bonuses. The Red Sox acquired Gagne from Texas at the trade deadline last summer. He had problems in a set-up role and saw little action in tight situations down the stretch as Boston went on to a World Series championship.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The Milwaukee Bucks' hard-luck West Coast trip is over at last. John Salmons scored 22 points to lead the Sacramento Kings as they rallied for a 93-90 victory over the Bucks last night in Sacramento. The Bucks opened the trip West with a win over the Los Angeles Clippers but now have lost four straight games and eight of the last nine.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Bucks will try to regroup with their return to the home floor at the Bradley Center tomorrow night and a game with Orlando. The Magic leads the Southeast Division with a 16-6 record but is on a two-game losing streak.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers coach Mike McCarthy says a hit that Raiders defensive end Derrick Burgess made on quarterback Brett Favre was low and unnecessary. The 38-year-old Favre made his 250th consecutive start in Sunday's 38-7 win over Oakland. He got hit twice by Burgess. McCarthy says the second one was especially low and unnecessary.
