Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP:
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Brett Favre's blindside protection should be just fine. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said today left tackle Chad Clifton is probable to play on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams despite a jammed up right shoulder and a shin injury. Clifton has missed only one game in four years as one of the offensive line's most consistent players. Clifton and the entire line have vaulted running back Ryan Grant into one of the league's best in the second half of the year. Since Week 8, Grant leads the NFL in rushing with 717 yards. He also has five touchdowns.
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers (11-2) will try to clinch a first-round playoff bye with a win in St. Louis Sunday. The Rams (3-10) are winding up a forgettable year with eleven players on injured reserve, including three offensive line starters. Quarterback Marc Bulger has missed four games this season -- two each with broken ribs and a concussion. Bulger is expected to return Sunday. He practiced Wednesday and Thursday with no setbacks. He has a special appreciation for Favre's 251st consecutive start. Bulger says he admires that record more than any other.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Former Rams player Ryan Pickett says he's excited to return to St. Louis on Sunday. Pickett signed with the Green Bay Packers as a free agent before the 2006 season. He says he didn't necessarily have any idea at the time that the Packers were a team on the rise and the Rams were headed for a fall. Pickett says he saw an opportunity in Green Bay and a strong organization.
