Packers loss equals Cowboys gain

CHICAGO (AP) -- Brian Urlacher (UU'-lak-ur) and Adrian Peterson helped the Chicago Bears crush the Green Bay Packers 35-7, allowing the Dallas Cowboys to clinch home field throughout the NFC playoffs.

Urlacher capped the rout by returning an interception 85 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. It was his first career interception return for a TD.

Peterson rushed for 102 yards, including an eight-yard scoring run that put the Bears ahead 13-7 in the second quarter.

The Bears also blocked two punts by Jon Ryan, who also dropped a snap and booted a nine-yarder. The Packers had gone 12 years and 929 punts without a block prior to Darrell McClover's knockdown in the second quarter.

Brett Favre (fahrv) threw for just nine yards in the first half and finished 17-of-32 for 153 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.

Ryan Grant had a 66-yard touchdown run for the 12-and-3 Packers.

The Bears are 6-and-9.
