Badger Hockey team bounced in shootout by Colgate

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Aaron Bendickson and Patrick Johnson scored third-period goals to help No. 13 Wisconsin tie Colgate 2-2 tonight in the opening round of the Badger Hockey Showdown, but the Badgers won't be going to the championship game tomorrow.

Colgate goaltender Mark Dekanich stopped all eight shots he faced in a shootout, which determined that Colgate advances to the title game.

The result counts as a tie on both teams' record.

Tyler Burton scored the winning goal in the eighth round, beating Wisconsin goaltender Scott Gudmandson to the stick side.
