Leuer lights up Wolverines

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Reserve freshman Jon Leuer scored a career-high 25 points and Marcus Landry added 15 to lift 25th-ranked Wisconsin to a 70-54 victory over Michigan in the Big Ten opener for both men's basketball teams tonight in Ann Arbor.

Trevon Hughes, the Badgers' leading scorer, returned after missing one game with an injured right ankle and scored five points. The Badgers (11-2) have won five straight games and their only losses are to Top Ten teams -- Marquette and Duke.

Freshman Manny Harris had 16 points and DeShawn Sims added 13 for the Wolverines (4-9), who have lost nine of 11 and are off to theirs worst start since 1981-82.
