Tigers tame Badgers at Kohl again

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Scott McCulloch finished off a nice pass from Andreas Vlassopoulos in the third period, helping No. 4 Colorado College sweep No. 13 Wisconsin with a 3-1 victory on Saturday.

After the Badgers failed to clear the puck out of their own zone, Vlassopoulos tucked the puck between Wisconsin defenseman Ryan McDonagh's legs. He then fed McCulloch to break a 1-1 tie with 5 minutes, 17 seconds remaining.

The Tigers swept the Badgers at the Kohl Center for the first time. The last time Colorado College won both games of a series in Madison was in 1995 at the Dane County Coliseum.

The Tigers are now 14-and-six and 13-and-three. They finished a nine-game road stretch 6-3 and have won six straight over the Badgers. The Badgers are now eight-nine-and-three and four-seven-and-one.
