Wedding adjusts to Packer playoff start time

GRESHAM, Wis. (AP) -- When Katie Krell of Kaukauna and her fiance Mike Hartjes set their wedding date a year ago, they couldn't have anticipated that the Green Bay Packers would be in the NFL playoffs on the same day.

But now that it's happened, they've made some adjustments to their wedding ceremony.

Krell tells WAPL radio they have a TV in the church because the game starts about the same time as the ceremony. Guests can watch the game while they exchange their vows.

The couple also plans to a Packer-related rock song called "Welcome to the Tundra" by the Fox Valley band The Wedgies as their recessional music.

But the Packer theme ends there. Krell says there will be no green and gold bridesmaid dresses and no one will be wearing cheesehead hats.
