Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Look who's on a winning streak -- the Milwaukee Bucks. Mo Williams scored a season-high 35 points to lead the Bucks to a 98-92 victory over Miami at the Bradley Center last night, sending the Heat to their ninth straight loss. After winning their last three games, the Bucks have climbed out of the Central Division cellar and are one game ahead of the last-place Chicago Bulls.
KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- As the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers prepare to meet Saturday, the subject of retirement is looming in the background. No, we're not talking about Brett Favre here. Seattle coach and former Packers coach Mike Holmgren hasn't said if he'll be back for another season, so this could be his last trip to Lambeau Field to play his former team.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers quarterback Brett Favre and Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck apparently have been having a grand old time text-messaging each other all week. Hasselbeck is a former backup to Favre in Green Bay. He joked that he suggested they give each other the defensive signals for their respective teams, so that each of them could have a great game, knowing what the defense was going to do. But Favre apparently nixed that idea.
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund plans to host events to aid needy, retired National Football League players at next month's Super Bowl. The group also plans to auction off chances to dine with football legends and go on safari. The nonprofit group launched by former Green Bay Packers star Jerry Kramer hopes to raise half a million dollars through the efforts.
