Friday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy says there's one thing his staff isn't spending time on while getting ready for Saturday's playoff game with Seattle. McCarthy says he and his assistants haven't watched film of quarterback Brett Favre's playoff appearances since coach Mike Holmgren left to joint the Seahawks. According to McCarthy, those games don't factor into the way the team is playing now, or the way Favre is playing with a different offensive style.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Trevon Hughes scored 22 points and Brian Butch added 16 as 21st-ranked Wisconsin beat Illinois 70-60 in men's college basketball last night in Madison. The Illini now are on their first four-game losing streak under coach Bruce Weber.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Matt Howard had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead the way for 14th-ranked Butler in a 74-65 Horizon League men's basketball win over Wisconsin-Green Bay in Indianapolis last night. Butler's winning streak is now at seven games. Terry Evans led Green Bay with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
