Packers' Barnett, Blackmon practice but Wells sits out

Green Bay Packers center Scott Wells sat out the portion of today's practice that was open to the media, one day after hurting his gluteus muscle.

He left yesterday's practice after the injury, but Packers coach Mike McCarthy didn't seem too worried. With the Packers preparing for Sunday's NFC Championship gme against the New York Giants, McCarthy said yesterday that the team was just being safe by pulling him from practice.

The Packers' backup center is starting right guard Jason Spitz. If he has to switch from guard to center, Tony Moll likely would take his place.

Linebacker Nick Barnett was limited in yesterday's practice. But he participated in the portion of today's practice that was open to the media.

So did Will Blackmon. He had sat out Saturday's game after aggravating a foot injury.
