Wisconsin women continue to lose

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Krista Phillips hit a 40-foot 3-pointer to force overtime and Michigan pulled away for a 79-73 Big Ten women's basketball victory over Wisconsin in Madison tonight.

Janelle Cooper scored 19 points to lead the Wolverines (11-5, 4-2), who trailed 32-26 at halftime and trailed 52-41 midway through the second half before rallying for a 58-57 lead.

Rae Lin D'Alie hit a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left to put Wisconsin ahead 68-65.

After a Michigan timeout, Phillips tied it with her 3-point shot with 4 seconds to go.

The Wolverines took a 75-68 lead in overtime and hung on to win.

Jolene Anderson scored 30 points to lead Wisconsin (8-8, 1-5).
