MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Marcus Landry scored a career-high 21 points and Number 17 Wisconsin defeated Northwestern 62-50 tonight.
The Badgers used a 13-2 run at the start of the second half to break open a close game.
Landry scored 15 of his points after halftime. That included five during the opening stretch of the period when the Badgers pulled away.
Wisconsin maintained at least an eight-point lead the rest of the game. Landry's previous career best was 19 points against Eastern Kentucky in November 2005.
Michael Thompson led Northwestern (6-9, 0-5) with 16 points.
