Homeless shelter gets championship game ticket

(AP) -- An anonymous donor gave a homeless man a chance to attend the NFC Championship game Sunday at Lambeau Field.

6 hours before kickoff a man walked up to the front desk at the New Community Shelter in Green Bay.

New Community executive director Terri Refsguard says the stranger handed over a game ticket and said someone at the shelter could probably use it.

The shelter decided a drawing was the best way to give everyone a chance to go to the game.

Anthony Polzin was the winner among the 25 people that entered the drawing.

Polzin says he's been a lifelong Packers fan and never had a chance to go to a game. Polzin says it's what he's been waiting for all his life.

Although the game didn't turn out well for Packers fans, Polzin says he's grateful for the chance to go and for the kind heart of the anonymous donor.
