Former Badger Joe Pavelski's scored a shorthanded goal helped the San Jose Sharks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night.
Pavelski's former University of Wisconsin teammate Adam Burish scored his first NHL goal midway through the third period for the Blackhawks and another ex-Badger, Jack Skille, scored for Chicago.
Right after a penalty ended, Burish capitalized on some defensive confusion to sneak behind three Sharks for his first goal in 58 career NHL games. Burish captained the University of Wisconsin's 2006 NCAA championship team, which also included Pavelski and Skille.
The current Badgers host Minnesota this Friday and Saturday at the Kohl Center. Gametime is 7:05 both nights.
