Veteran infielder Abraham Nunez has agreed to a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers and will go to spring training as a non-roster invitee.
The 31-year-old Nunez played a backup role in Philadelphia the last two seasons. He spent eight years in Pittsburgh beginning in 1997 before moving on to St. Louis in 2005.
Nunez is a .242 career hitter with 18 homers and 209 RBIs while splitting his time at second base, third base and shortstop.
