Wisconsin, Minnesota Tie in Overtime
The University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team (11-10-5, 7-8-3 WCHA) skated to a 2-2 overtime draw with Minnesota (12-11-5, 6-9-3) in front of a sold-out crowd at the Kohl Center on Saturday. After a 3-1 victory over the Gophers on Friday, the Badgers improved their unbeaten streak to five games (3-0-2).
Tonight’s tie gave the Badgers one additional point, earning three on the weekend, to move into a share of fourth place with Minnesota Duluth. The Badgers will face the Bulldogs next weekend, Feb. 1-2, at the Kohl Center. Face off is set for 7 p.m. both nights. Friday’s contest will be live on FSN and WPT, with Saturday’s match-up available on My Madison TV and WPT.
