The No. 11/12 University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team rallied to tie Michigan Tech, 1-1, on Friday at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena in Houghton, Mich. at Winter Carnival. Each team earned a point in the conference, as Wisconsin moved to 12-11-6 overall and 8-9-4 in the WCHA. The Huskies are now 10-12-4 overall and 6-9-4 in the conference.
For the second time in as many games, the Badgers skated in an overtime contest, where they are now 0-1-5 on the season. This time however, Wisconsin battled back to earn one point in the draw. With 20 points, the Badgers hold sole possession of fourth place, one point ahead of Minnesota Duluth.
The Badgers and Michigan Tech will play in the final game of Winter Carnival on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT. Fans can listen to the game live on 1310 WIBA AM in Madison and on other affiliates throughout Wisconsin. A live gameday blog will also be available on UWBADGERS.COM shortly before face off.
