Wisconsin Women see 11 game win streak snapped

DULUTH, Minn.
Sophomore Meghan Duggan scored two goals, but it was not enough as the No. 5 Wisconsin women’s hockey team fell to No. 3 Minnesota Duluth 3-2 Saturday night at the DECC.

Junior goalie Jessie Vetter (Cottage Grove, Wis.) made 27 saves for the Badgers (21-7-2 overall, 17-5-2 WCHA), who saw their 11-game winning streak come to an end.

The Badgers return to the ice Feb. 15-16 when they play host to Bemidji State. Friday’s game will take place at the Kohl Center while Saturday’s will be held at the Eagle’s Nest in Verona, Wis. Both games are slated to face off at 2:07 p.m.
