Big second half lifts Buckeyes over Badgers

Marscilla Packer scored 23 points and Jantel Lavender added 22 as No. 19 Ohio State beat Wisconsin 80-77.

Buckeyes guard Shavelle Little sank two free throws with about 19 seconds left.

That left time for Wisconsin's Jolene Anderson to launch a pair of 3-point attempts in the final five seconds. But the Big Ten Conference's leading scorer missed both.

The upset-minded Badgers (11-11, 4-8 Big Ten) led for most of the game. But Ohio State (18-6, 9-4) used a 25-6 run to take a six-point lead.

Both teams excelled at the foul line. Wisconsin was 25-of-29, while Ohio State shot 19-of-22.

Janese Banks led Wisconsin with 22 points and nine rebounds.

For the Buckeyes, Tamarah Riley had 11 points and 11 rebounds.
