Wisconsin men move 1 point ahead of idle Minnesota State

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Patrick Johnson's late third-period goal helped Wisconsin salvage a 4-4 overtime tie against Minnesota Saturday.

Johnson scored his eighth collegiate goal as the Badgers managed to get one point from their weekend series with the Gophers. Minnesota won yesterday's game 4-2.

Jay Barriball had a goal and an assist for Minnesota.

John Mitchell, Michael Davies and Podge Turnbull also scored for the Badgers.

Gophers goaltender Alex Kangas had 37 saves, while Badgers goalie Shane Connelly finished with 28.
