Junior goalie Jessie Vetter made 32 saves while sophomore Meghan Duggan tallied two goals and an assist to lead the No. 5 Wisconsin women’s hockey team to an impressive 5-1 victory over No. 4 Minnesota Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena.
The loss was the first for Minnesota this season at Ridder Arena and snapped a 21-game unbeaten streak for the Gophers, who fell to 25-5-3 overall and 21-5-1 in league contests. The Badgers are now just one point behind Minnesota for second place in the WCHA heading into tomorrow’s regular season finale.
