Packers president thinks Favre is coming back for 18th year

New Packers president Mark Murphy says he's predicting Brett Favre will return for his 18th season after Green Bay's run to the Super Bowl ended one game short.

Murphy commented at the Milwaukee Press Club today. He says the team has improved around Favre and is in position for some great things next year.

Favre set a number of league records leading the NFL's youngest team to an NFC North division title and the NFC championship game at Lambeau Field. The New York Giants finally ended Green Bay's run and advanced to win the Super Bowl by beating New England.

Murphy played eight years in the NFL with the Redskins.

He says Favre has waited to make his decision because it's hard to prepare for the rigors of another season.

But he expects a decision will come in coming days, and he believes Favre will return.
