Brewers starter Carlos Villanueva pitched two scoreless innings this afternoon to lead Milwaukee to a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Chris Capuano got the win for Milwaukee. The Brewers had been on the losing end of Capuano's last 22 appearances last season.
Brewers slugger Prince Fielder finished 1-for-1 but was also hit twice by Angels relievers -- once in the right knee and again on his right elbow pad.
The Angels took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning, but the Brewers answered in the bottom half. Abraham Nunez hit a two-run single and Laynce Nix added an RBI single to give Milwaukee a 3-2 lead.
Corey Hart had an RBI single in the fifth to cap scoring.
Jon Garland was sharp in his debut for the Angels. He pitched two scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out one.
