MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Bucks say first-round draft pick Joe Alexander has signed a multiyear contract.

The team announced the deal Tuesday but did not disclose the terms.

The 6-foot, 8-inch tall forward from West Virginia was the eighth overall pick.

Practice begins Tuesday for the Bucks summer league players, led by Alexander.

The team will play five games in Las Vegas starting on Saturday.

Alexander is the first player in NBA history who was born in Taiwan.
