The Waiting Game Continues

Months of speculation surrounding the future of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will go on, as Favre did not definitively address his future at a Saturday morning news conference.

The NFL's third winningest quarterback of all-time spoke to the media prior to his annual charity golf outing in Tunica, Mississippi. Favre said he has yet to make up his mind, and will be sure to inform everyone when he does.

A family spokeswoman fueled speculation on Friday, by stating that Favre would address his future plans at the news conference. However, as the conference started, Favre said to the members of the Wisconsin media in attendance, "I don't know why you all wasted a trip down here."

Favre is the Packers record holder in virtually every passing category, and holds the NFL record with 225 consecutive starts by a quarterback (including playoffs). He also ranks in the league’s top three spots in four major categories: second in touchdowns (376), second in completions (4,306), third in attempts (7,003) and third in yards (49,734).
