The storied University of Wisconsin hockey program is, once again, on top of the college hockey universe. The Badgers knocked off Boston College in a thrilling 2-1 victory Saturday night, at the Bradley Center, in Milwaukee. The win marks the Badgers first men's hockey National Championship since 1990.
A goal by senior Tom Gilbert 9:32 into the third period proved to be the winner as the Wisconsin men’s hockey team captured its sixth National Championship in school history.
NBC 15 will provide complete coverage of the game on NBC 15 News at 10, as well as on this week's Wisconsin Sports Sunday, this Sunday at 10:30.
