MILWAUKEE (AP) -- After dropping three of four games to the Cubs in Chicago over the holiday weekend, the Milwaukee Brewers needed Monday off to get ready for a crucial homestand.
First up is three games with the St. Louis Cardinals, who lead the Brewers by a game in the N.L. Central.
Then it's three more against the team with the best record in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers, before the All-Star Break.
The Dodgers' Manny Ramirez was recently activated from his 50-game suspension for violating baseball's drug policy.
