A former Milwaukee Braves player is expected to have a kidney transplant in the next couple months.

Tests determined two of Frank Torre's children are a match for the procedure.

The former major leaguer is the brother of New York Yankees' manager Joe Torre.

Torre needs the operation because of medication he's taken since receiving a new heart more than a decade ago.

The 75-year-old Torre spent seven seasons with the Milwaukee Braves and Philadelphia Phillies from 1956 to 1963.
