Gilbert Arenas scored 19 points to help Washington beat Milwaukee 121-107 but the Wizards have lost Caron Butler with a fractured right hand.
Butler was injured in the third period after scoring 19 points, but there was no word on how long he'd be sidelined.
The Washington win coupled with Miami's loss at Detroit moves the Wizards past the Heat into first place in the Southeast Division.
Mo Williams led the Bucks with 25 points.
