Packers coach Mike McCarthy returns to Pittsburgh for Green Bay's preseason opener. And the Packers will play a national televised exhibition game on Thursday, August 23rd against Jacksonville.

The Packers' preseason schedule was released today. It also includes a home game against former coach Mike Holmgren and the Seattle Seahawks as well as a game at Tennessee.

The opener will be between August ninth and the 13th and is Green Bay's first appearance at Pittsburgh's new stadium, which opened in 2001. McCarthy grew up in Greenfield, a Pittsburgh neighborhood near downtown.

Holmgren, Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks come in the second week of the preseason in a game sometime between August 16th and the 20th.

Green Bay will then host Jacksonville in the Thursday game televised on Fox, before wrapping up the preseason schedule against the Titans sometime between August 29th and the 31st.
