Edgewood freshman Williams makes history
Edgewood College freshman Josh Williams became the first Eagle to run at the NCAA Championships on Saturday at Highland Park Golf Course.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Edgewood College freshman Josh Williams became the first Eagle to run at the NCAA Championships on Saturday at Highland Park Golf Course. Williams ran 27:34 and gained a ton of experience in his first national championship race. Williams placed 201st overall in the field of 276 runners. He was the ninth-highest placing freshman in the nation. North Central College blew away the field winning the team title with 50 points compared to runner up Williams College’s total of 181. Ricky Flynn of Lynchburg College won the individual title with a time of 25:09.
