An Appleton nightclub owner says a woman threw a drink at Nick Barnett before the Packers linebacker was arrested for allegedly shoving someone at the bar last weekend.
Kathy Peotter co-owns Wet nightclub. She says the altercation with Barnett involved two women asking him and other Packer players for autographs.
She says at some point, a woman threw a drink at Barnett shortly before a woman was shoved or fell to the floor. It wasn't clear whether the same woman was involved.
Barnett was arrested for misdemeanor battery and posted bond a short time later.
Appleton police say witnesses are still being interviewed. Investigators hope to send their reports to the district attorney early next week.
