Brewers fab four make All-Star Team

For the first time in 24 years, the Brewers are sending four players to the All-Star Game.

Starting pitcher Ben Sheets, first baseman Prince Fielder, shortstop
J.J. Hardy and closer Francisco Cordero will all represent the Brewers for the National League squad. The game will be played July 10th in San Francisco.

Sheets also appeared in the All-Star game in 2001 as a rookie and again in 2004. He is 10-3 with a 3.19 ERA in 17 starts this season. His ten wins tied him for the NL lead as of today.

Fielder is making his first All-Star appearance, edging out the Cardinals' Albert Pujols.

Fielder entered play today batting .284. His 27 home runs lead the NL and he has 66 RBI's in 80 games.

Hardy entered today's game batting .281 with 18 home runs and 51 RBI's.

Cordero's only other All-Star appearance was as a Texas Ranger in 2004. The right-hander leads the Majors with 27 saves.
