MILWAUKEE (AP) — Brandon Jennings and John Salmons each scored 19 points to help the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Charlotte Bobcats 93-88 last night. Andrew Bogut added 18 points and 13 rebounds in the Bucks' fifth win in their last seven games. The win pulled the Bucks within one game of Charlotte for the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Rahmon Fletcher scored a game-high 22 points as Wisconsin-Green Bay defeated Indiana State, 60-59, in a BracketBuster game last night. Fletcher's biggest bucket of the game came with eleven seconds left as he put the Phoenix ahead 60-59. Rian Pearson had 17 points, hitting on seven-of-10 from the floor, for the Phoenix.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Anthony Nelson scored eight straight points in the final minutes for Niagara, helping the Purple Eagles overtake Wisconsin-Milwaukee 85-79 in a nonconference BracketBusters series game last night. Ricky Franklin led Wisconsin-Milwaukee with 22 points and seven assists. James Eayrs added 14 points.

HAYWARD, Wis. (AP) — A record number of skiers is expected in northern Wisconsin next weekend for the American Birkebeiner cross country ski race. Shorter races and other events for the 37th running of the event start Thursday, with the actual Birkebeiner on Saturday. The 50-kilometer course runs from Cable to Hayward.
