Tuesday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

CHICAGO (AP) -- It's showdown time for the Milwaukee Brewers. They open a series in Chicago against the Cubs team that has overtaken them to move into first place in the Central Division. Chicago now holds a game and a half lead over the Brewers, while the St. Louis Cardinals are just half a game behind Milwaukee.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers fans may need their scorecards to see who's playing running back in Thursday night's game with Tennessee. Rookie Brandon Jackson had been expected to fill in for ailing starter Vernand Morency, but Jackson suffered a concussion in practice Sunday and may not play. If Jackson can't play, Noah Herron gets the start and rookie Deshawn Wynn should also see substantial playing time.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Atari Bigby is getting the starting nod at safety for the Green Bay Packers in Thursday night's preseason game. But coach Mike McCarthy says that doesn't necessarily mean Bigby has won the starting job over Marquand Manuel. McCarthy said repetitions will be more important than who the starter is.
