Friday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Brett Favre looks sharp and ready to roll into his 17th NFL season with some of his young teammates, based on Thursday night's performance in the Green Bay Packers' last preseason game. But Vince Young led the Tennessee Titans to a 30-14 win over the Packers in Nashville, as he threw for one touchdown and ran for another.

CHICAGO (AP) -- It was nothing new for the Milwaukee Brewers last night when they saw an early lead evaporate and wound up losing 5-4 to the Chicago Cubs in a key game in the Windy City. Matt Murton and Alfonso Soriano hit back-to-back homers off Chris Capuano in the sixth inning as the Cubs took charge after trailing 2-0 earlier. With the win, the first-place Cubs extended their lead over the second-place Brewers to two and a half games in the National League's Central Division.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Milwaukee Brewers rookie lefty Manny Parra had to leave Thursday night's game against the Chicago Cubs with a bruised left thumb after pitching just three innings. Parra hurt his thumb while trying to bunt in the top of the fourth inning and didn't come out for the bottom of the inning. He's to be examined today.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Brewers prospect Jeremy Jeffress is suspended for 50 games for violating baseball's minor league drug rules. Jeffress has pitched with Class-A West Virginia of the South Atlantic League.
