Brewers lose, still in 1st place

The Cincinnati Reds prevented Milwaukee from grabbing sole possession of the NL Central lead by blasting the Brewers 11-3.

Ken Griffey Junior hit his 593rd career home run after the Reds erupted for six runs in the first inning.
Josh Hamilton went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored as the Reds kept the Brewers in a first-place tie in the NL Central. Griffey finished with three ribbies, while Edwin Encarnacion (ehn-kahr-nah-see-OHN') and rookie Joey Votto drove in two runs apiece.
Bronson Arroyo pitched into the eighth to get to 8-14, allowing three runs and five hits while striking out eight.
Dave Bush was chased in the second inning, charged with eight runs and nine hits. He's 11-10.

Prince Fielder homered for the Brewers.
