Tuesday Wisconsin Sports UPDATE

Here is the latest Wisconsin sports from The AP

HOUSTON (AP) -- Yovani Gallardo dominated Houston for the second time in two weeks to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-to-nothing win over the Astros last night. The win in Houston kept the Brewers just one game behind the leading Chicago Cubs in the Central Division race after the Cubs rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Cincinnati. Corey Hart hit a two-run double in the first inning for the Brewers, who rallied for three more runs in the fourth inning. Kevin Mench homered in the ninth for Milwaukee's final run.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Milwaukee Brewers slugger Prince Fielder and Houston manager Cecil Cooper now have something in common. Last night, Fielder scored his 100th run of the season. That makes him the fifth player in Brewers' history to drive in 100 runs and score 100 runs in the same season. Cooper is one of the other four.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema has one of the best young backfields in the nation, led by sophomore P.J. Hill. But the coach says he's hopeful that he'll be able to redshirt one of those young players. He's talking about freshman John Clay from Racine Park High School, one of the most prestigious runners in Wisconsin prep history.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers are looking for some new prospects to play quarterback, but only in an emergency. The Packers kept only Brett Favre and backup Aaron Rodgers on the roster. Wide receiver Carlyle Holiday was kept as a third-string quarterback, but he's out for the season with a knee injury.

MIAMI (AP) -- Restricted free-agent guard Charlie Bell has signed a five-year offer sheet worth more than $18 million with the Miami Heat. He's waiting to see if the Milwaukee Bucks choose to match the deal.
